PAWEŁ HAWRANEK

Attorney-at-law who specialises in legal services related to trading in energy, its carriers and derivative instruments (power, natural gas, oil, emission allowances, coal, biomass, property rights) and in matters related to the impact of EU regulations (MIFID II, EMIR, MAR, REMIT, CDR , etc.) on the structure and operations of energy companies. He has over 10 years’ experience in negotiating standard agreements on commodity markets (EFET, ISDA, IETMA, CPMA, etc.), agreements with operators ( TSO / DSO) and non-standard sales contracts for energy and its carriers. He is also skilled in implementing new solutions adapting energy companies to the said EU regulations. He cooperates with numerous enterprises on regulatory matters (e.g. regulations characteristic of particular industries – energy, food, pharmaceutical, IT, transport and universal services), mostly by providing legal services to energy industry leaders in the area of wholesale trade in energy and its carriers.
Co-author of press articles on the impact of EU regulations (mainly MIFID II, EMIR, MAR and REMIT) on the structure and operations of energy companies. Member of the Warsaw Bar Association (OIRP), the Association of Energy Trading (TOE) where he manages the works of the Working Group on Financial Regulations, and lecturer at the post-graduate faculty of the Warsaw School of Economics. MACIEJ NOWAK

He has experience in several industries: IT, food production, FMCG, real estate management, construction. In his professional practice, he focuses on corporate and individual advisory as regards agreements and trade contracts, trade disputes, commercial law (corporate advisory), copyrights, as well as personal data protection regulations. He has extensive experience in the management of court proceedings as regards the development of strategy, participating in negotiations and representing Clients before common courts. Moreover, he is often engaged in negotiations regarding office and commercial space leases. He speaks fluent English.

He is a specialist in the operations of financial and commodity markets, as well as management control, in particular controlling, business and strategic controlling, reengineering and the optimisation of processes and economic results of company operations, as well as risk management and its controlling – all supported by many years’ hands-on experience and a broad theoretical knowledge base. He is the author and co-author of books on financial and commodity market regulations, management control and risk management; he has written over 100 publications about management and management control in companies, risk management, risk controlling and the evolution of the power market in the European Union. He focuses mainly on matters connected with risk on commodity markets and its identification, correct assessment and effective protection. The editor and co-author of the Blog on risk, law and energy.
Katarzyna ZbiegieŃ-Włodarska

She advises international corporations on labour law and their ongoing business activity in the IT, food and real estate management industries.
She is highly experienced in entering into and terminating employment relations, including managerial-level staff, restructuring and employment optimisation. She offers advisory services as regards trade agreements and disputes, she participates in negotiations and due diligence.
A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Warsaw University, the German Law School and the American Law School of the Warsaw University, member of the Warsaw Bar Association (ORA). She speaks fluent English and German.

Attorney with several years’ experience. He provides legal aid to the Firm’s Clients as regards economic, civil and trade law. He specialises in advisory to entities from the food and FMCG industries. He is also experienced in contract law, corporate law and the negotiation of domestic trade agreements. He is also responsible for the coordination of debt recovery processes handled by the Firm. He ensures ongoing legal assistance to the Firm’s Clients in their company seats, as well as represents them before courts and administrative authorities. He has been with the Firm from the beginning of his career. He speaks English.
Julita Macutkiewicz-Soja

She specialises in pharmaceutical and food law. She provides ongoing services to business entities, including representing the Firm’s Clients before courts and administrative authorities. She has extensive knowledge of trade, economic and civil law, in particular contract law (drawing up, analysing and verifying business agreements and contracts). Moreover, she provides corporate advisory services to trade companies. Her additional areas of interest include media law, intellectual property law and competition law. A graduate of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, member of the Warsaw Bar Association (OIRP). She speaks fluent English.

Advises the Firm’s Clients on matters regarding civil, economic, trade and labour law. She is highly experienced in handling court cases, in particular as regards economic and labour law matters. She provides ongoing services to business entities, as well as individual Clients, whom she advises as regards contract, corporate and labour law. She participates in negotiations and manages the risks related to the business activity of the Firm’s Clients. She provides assistance to the Firm’s Clients also in their company seats. She has been with the Firm from the beginning of her career. She speaks fluent English. She is a member of the Warsaw Bar Association (ORA).
Kamil Rodak

He has begun his career in 2018 working for the Firm as legal assistant. Since 2021 he has been a trainee attorney with the Warsaw Bar Association (ORA), hence he continuously broadens his knowledge and acquires new skills. For several years he has been handling broadly understood court and out-of-court debt recovery. He sees his future in economic and energy law. He is an automotive enthusiast and follows trends connected with the various forms of vehicle financing, such as leasing and long-term rental. He is interested in new technologies introduced into the automotive market, as well as their impact on the ever-changing world trends. He speaks good English.
